How to read this

The direction follows the total. Rising means reported collections increased from the previous year; Falling means they decreased; Flat means no change. The +6.6% reading is CISAC’s reported change in total collections, which reached €13.97 billion in 2024.

The bars show how the change is spread. Each category uses the same signed percentage scale. Right of zero means growth; left means decline. The five rates provide context; they are not votes or weights in a separate score.

Music shapes the aggregate. Music represents about 90% of the reported total. Growth in this reading does not imply that every content category, society or creator saw an increase.

Royalty collections reported through CISAC’s network of authors’ societies. This measures collective collections, not creators’ take-home pay or the entire intellectual-property market.
